Pragati Pratishthan runs a school dedicated for deaf & mute children most of them from tribal area with a small hostel facility, which currently houses about 70 children from the age group of 5 to 18 years. Anchor intended to provide better facilities to such children who are audibility impaire and hence provided those hearing aids empowering them to hear and educate themselves. More than 26 hearing aids were distributed midst the children of age group 6 to 10 years and they have been newly admitted in school and would help them greater accessibility in hearing & speech.
Out of 13 children it was observed that all children are benefited with respect to speaking, pronounce & hearing. Considerable improvement was observed while counting numbers, reading passages, answering of the questions, Barakhadi, and recognizing others sounds also. There was consistent improvement in lip reading and pronounciation and overall language skills development.
