Anchor by Panasonic installed LED tubes & Solar Panels across 7 Ashram schools (stay-in schools) in Jawhar & Mokhada to aid them in studying as the region faced power shortage in the evening. The primary objective was to assist the community to grow , improve and become self reliant so that they can be more independent. The main aim was to secure the future of the young students by giving them lighting facilities. The project benefited 3804 residential students in the Ashram. A total of 395 LED tubes of 8W/9W for 6-8 hrs/day & Solar PV Capacity (kWp) – 3.6 have been installed across these schools
It has been observed that the study hours of the student have increased, and the the nearby inhabitants are now more enthusiastic to enrol their children to the schools, thereby improving the educational aspects of the society. It has also created awareness on the benefits of using clean and renewable sources of energy and effective use for libraries.
